Good thing for these games is that they are all available on cross-platforms and can work perfectly on Windows, Mac OS or Linux – as long browsers on these systems supports above applications. Here we present some of the best online games available now.

We had a lot of PC-based games, and play station releases recently. Games today are totally changed as compared to their older counterparts. For most gamers, the definition of a flashy gaming console includes high end processors, graphics cards, Giga-bytes worth of RAM, wide-screen HD display monitors etc. And thanks to the high-end hardware support, games today have become livelier with original realistic looks, intelligent AI, awesome storyline and backgrounds.

However, despite the glorious presence of their PC and play station based cousins, flash-based browser games are still out there and continuing to attract a huge mass of gamers. An immediate advantage of such flash based games is their almost zero system resource requirement, lack of need of any installation and their easy and instant accessibility.

Good thing for these games is that they are all available on cross-platforms and can work perfectly on Windows, Mac OS, Linux or even on an iPad – as long browsers on these systems supports above applications. Here we present some of the best online games available now.

1. Ambulance Frenzy

The player has to be the ambulance driver in this game. But, you don’t have a lot of ambulances to drive. Therefore, the player has to use a hummer with an open cabin as ambulance and to bring in the patients to the hospital. And yeah! Don’t indulge yourself in any accidents.

Controls:
Accelerate – UP Arrow Key
Brake – Down Arrow Key
Balance – Right/Left Arrow Key

2. Dino Run

This is a game created by PixelJAM and XGen Studios. The game play is simple with pixel art and 8 bit sound, just like the 80s’ games. In the game play, a dinosaur has to be saved from a pyroclastic ‘wall of doom’. The game provides Milestones, different characters, various game modes, funny collectable items and even cheat codes, which makes the game more interesting.

3. Sonny

This is a Zombie game. Oh yeah! Zombies… I love them. The game is extremely polished, featuring voice acting, effects, tons of items and abilities and a decent story line. Sonny is executed so smoothly and with such a balance that it makes Flash seem as good as any other platform for a game design of this type.

4. Sim Taxi

The name itself is quite suggestive about the game play. You are a Taxi Driver who has to pick as many passengers as you can and drop them at their destination. You would be provided with radio and a map on top for locating the passengers. At the same time, make sure you don’t tear apart the taxi by accidents.

Controls:
Drive around – Arrow Keys
Music On/Off – M/N Keys
Radio – R Key
Switch Radio Stations – 1,2,3 Keys

5. 13 Days in Hell

The game is really promising for part time players. But if you are a hard core players like me you may find the game play quite boring as the scenario repeats itself in the later part of the story. In this game, first the user is asked to sign a 13 day survival task with 5 kinds of weapons (guns to be precise). The environment looks cool with introduction of 3D buttons in the menu, point and shoot feature and so on. There are difficulty levels where the enemy numbers vary according to the difficulty level chosen. So, if you are a part time gamer, this is a must try.

Play these browser games and let us hear how you felt about them.

First it was Gameloft who brought Iron Man 2 Game for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and now Valve Software has just brought their revolutionary first-person shooter game Half-Life 2 to Steam for Mac… It may be nearly six years late, but we repeat “Half-Life 2″ has finally arrived on Mac systems and is available on Steam. Folks who purchased the excellent FPS on Steam in years past will be happy to know that the Mac version was retroactively included in that purchase, so it’s free for them to download.

The original Half-Life is one of those games that has been a blight on the Mac gaming landscape since 1997. According to Valve, “Game ownership is no longer dictated by platform.” Seeing as how it seems the Mac is one of the last viable platforms for Half-Life 2 to land on, I suppose maybe they’re right.

So the day that many Mac gamers expected never to see has come at last – Valve has released Half-Life 2, the legendary action game, for the Macintosh. It’s available through Valve’s Steam online download service, which was released for the Mac earlier this month.

It’s an enormous step for Valve, and an epic win for Mac users. Steam is the most successful PC-based games-on-demand service, and it’s estimated more than 70 percent of all legal game downloads take place via Steam.

With Valve’s new systems in place, you’ll be able to download games such as Half Life 2 on your PC at home. Then, when you hit the road, you’ll be able to continue playing on your MacBook from right where you left off — your saved games can be stored in the cloud using Steam Cloud.

Half-Life 2 is available this week for $6.99, a 30 percent discount off its regular price. Valve has also released Half-Life Episode One and Episode Two for the Mac, and is selling at a discount The Orange Box, a compilation that combines Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, Portal, and the forthcoming Mac release of Team Fortress 2, a multiplayer online action game.

I know you might be a little skeptical about a movie-tie in game, but hey, let’s not forget Gameloft brought us the amazing Avatar game, which wasn’t much of a movie-tie in at all. If you are an Iron Man fan like I’m I bet you have been desperately waiting for its release. Only few days to go for the Iron Man 2 movie release date but the Iron Man 2 game for iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad is already here, in rich 3D graphics, interesting story line, real-like locations, and awesome gameplay.

Gameloft is traditionally a mobile company, and as they say, they’ve worked on “small to very small” devices, so the iPad is a new trick for them. They say that developing for the iPad allowed them to ramp up the graphics, and helped to make the new game that much more immersive. I couldn’t agree more — the bigger screen of iPad definitely makes a difference in terms of focusing on the game and we have already seen the proof in our recent review of the iPad game — Plants Vs. Zombies where a gamer could play multitouch game with 11 Fingers [Video].

The Iron Man iPhone app offers nine levels of thrilling action and gaming extravaganza as you travel around the globe fighting evil from the advanced Stark Expo center in New York to the jungles of Somalia for a truly wholesome entertainment.

While you as Tony Stark, battle the bad heads in your ruggedly beautiful Iron Man exosuits, and all through the game play, the War Machine will also be there to give you a helping hand.

On the ground and in the skies, Iron Man will go head-to-head against Ultimo, Firepower, Whiplash and armies of other foes who want to take him down. But who is really pulling the strings of this sudden onslaught against Iron Man? He’ll need the help of War Machine and S.H.I.E.L.D. to defeat them all.

The Iron Man iPad game also allows you to customize the touchscreen controls to suit your comfort levels, however the Iron Man iPhone game does not.

Iron Man 2 Game for iPhone & iPad Walkthrough

It looks like it probably will be more of a movie-tie in than Avatar, but I have hope for the game. I’m extremely excited for the open environments of New York the game features, letting you free to roam around them.

The Iron Man game for iPad, iPhone and iPhone Touch requires the device to run iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later and is available at non-US apple store for $9.99 [Click here to download Iron Man 2 game] while the US version of the game is scheduled to release sometime after the movie release.

Watch Iron Man 2 Game for iPhone & iPod Touch in action

Use the touchscreen controls to run around, float the jets, fire the weapons and even to dress up your armor, and all this should seem as easy and comfortable as it has been with all the previous Gameloft games including the incredibly popular Avatar game.

If you’re an avid iPhone gamer and you’re considering an iPad, here’s one reason why iPad is better for gaming: more points of contact. It seems clear — Popcap suggests that if you want to be a better parent, buy Plants vs. Zombies HD. Of course, you can stick with the iPhone version, but then you and your child are limited to only 5 points of contact – so you’ll have to take turns. The iPad’s screen, however, can accommodate more points of contact, allowing users to play Plants vs. Zombies in pairs with 11 points of contact.

PopCap says it’s sold 650,000 copies of the title for the iPhone and iPod. Users who have already paid for that version will, of course, still be able to play it on the iPad, but will need to buy a copy of the HD version if they want to take advantage of all the new features and extra screen real estate.

From the moment we saw the bizarre music video for Plants vs. Zombies we knew we wanted to play this game. If you’ve never played a tower defense game before, this is the one you should try. And at just $9.99, you’re getting it for half the price of the PC original. It is an excellent deal.

NASA iPhone App (Game Simulator) Lets You ‘Control’ Your Own Lunar Electric Rover

Space geeks rejoice! Ever dreamed of controlling your own Lunar rover? Looks like your dream has come true; well to a great extent! In follow-up to NASA’s widely popular debut iPhone app … the cleverly named – NASA App … the NASA Lunar Electric Rover Simulator iPhone game landed on the App Store yesterday. Now you can virtually drive a fictional Lunar Electric Rover on a future lunar outpost. The game is free and available through the iTunes store.

“We wanted to make this a cool game instead of an app where you just retrieve information,” said Chris Giersch, the host of NASA EDGE.

For the first iteration, NASA decided not to go too extravagant. “We thought about going high-tech and going really jazzy, but for this first version, let’s just keep it basic,” Giersch said.

Screenshots (NASA Lunar Electric Rover Simulator iPhone Game)

The game is very simple, but you’ll be able to finish various challenges and learn a lot about the moon and how the lunar rover works in the process. There’s also an interactive gallery with images of the rover and the Lunar Outpost it supplies. As the game review site Krapps notes, the gameplay is a bit “Pacmanish.” Beyond driving around the rover, you can also see images from the proposed lunar outpost and learn more about what life on the Moon might be like.

The game was developed by Analytical Mechanics Association at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. When are you going to try this iPhone Lunar Rover?

This post is both for iPhone critics as well as lovers. Who says, iPhone can only play touchy-touch puzzle games? You are totally on a wrong foot, if you think so. Because GTA is not a game for every gamers and when iPhone is loaded with GTA, it makes a very interesting combination that is both addictive and also dangerous [Warning to parents: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for iPhone and iPod Touch is a crude, violent, decidedly R-rated game. So don't let the kids catch you playing it, OK?]. Yes, you heard this right! Now Grand Theft Auto, one of the largest franchises in Video gaming, has brought the iPhone version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

Chinatown Wars ranks among the top-rated and most popular titles ever for both Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable, and its iPhone counterpart is sure to enjoy similar success. For those unfamiliar with GTA games, Chinatown Wars plays like an interactive John Woo movie. As the son of a murdered gang boss, you must complete various missions on the sprawling, ultra-violent streets of Liberty City.

The story of the game is cleverly written and directed as the older PC counterparts of the video game. In this, you are Huang Lee, son of a Triad gangster. Your father was murdered and you must deliver an ancient sword to your uncle so as to keep the empire in your family’s name. Looks like some typical Chinese myth huh! There is more. You now find yourself drawn into the underworld with thoughts of vengeance. But what starts out as a simple revenge tale grows in scope, with a criminal world about to explode as gangs (and cops) square off for control. The Chinatown Wars narrative is strong, full of both humor and real drama.

Official Trailer [GTA Chinatown Wars on iPhones]

GTA Chinatown Wars iPhone Game

Instead of a 3D behind-the-shoulder view, Chinatown Wars returns to the top-down roots of the pre-PlayStation 2 GTA games. The art style is cartoonish and looks fantastic. The camera gives you a good view of the city around you, although when you start zipping through traffic trying to escape cops on a motorcycle you can almost get too far ahead of yourself

Chinatown Wars uses a virtual stick for on-foot movement that is just about as good as you’ll find on the iDevices.. All of the virtual buttons (gas, shoot, kick, carjack) are simply too small. They work — but they are not easy to manage and often require you look at the buttons to make sure you are hitting the right one. In the middle of a big fight or a high-speed pursuit, this is troublesome until you are 100-percent comfortable with the controls. The layered menus are also not user-friendly and take some time to get used to. Too much time is spent wriggling around screen after screen of menus to adjust game options.

GTA Chinatown Wars on iPhones [Video Review]

The mission variety in Chinatown Wars is one of its strongest features. You are not just driving to a location, shooting somebody, and then returning to home base. You perform in a parade, hijack fuel tankers to turn into giant bombs, run interference during a race, and put out fires. And on top of the main story, there is a plethora of side jobs and races, including the extra content that was included with the PSP port. But most surprising is the d rug dealing. I’m not just shocked that Apple was cool with her0in (other games have been rejected for d rug- and alc0h0l-related content), but just how vital it is to the overall game. If you want to make money, you have to juggle this resource management game-within-a-game where you buy low, sell high, and watch out for busts.

The Good
- A perfect GTA game which pulls no punches.
- A beautiful huge city
- Surprisingly intuitive control system

The Not So Good
- Not enough hours in the day to play it

The Bad
- This game is crude, violent [remember, it is a R-rated game]

If you’re at all interested in open-world crime games, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is by far the best available on the platform and simply cannot be passed up. The sheer amount of content, the amazing graphics, and gameplay that will keep you coming back for more whether you choose to follow the story or rampage through Liberty City on your own is absolutely fantastic.

Now, if you’d excuse me, I’ve got $50,000 worth of her0in to unload.

Apart from blogging, I am a game maniac. With a hectic schedule of mine, I don’t find much time in installing a game on my PC. Rather, I search online games to fulfill my desire. Sometimes due to my luck I get really good ones. Last night, after finishing my daily job I was looking for some online game on the net. I got a link from a forum discussion page and I entered the site without much expectation from it.

Thankfully, I had to fill hardly 4-5 lines for the registration process. As I told you, I don’t get time to do a lot of things before playing a game; and I loved this registration process as it was short and crispy. It never required any confirmation email. The email address and password entered by me in the registration page were able to be used as logon credentials instantly. Wow!

The game page was really neat and well managed. There is a top bar which indicates the Account Type, Location. With a space left in between, there was the tags; Gold, Bank, Stamina. With a starting amount of 2500 Gold and 1060 Stamina I started the game. The game has also some levels which go on increasing along with the increase in experience and job done. You can see the ratings like Attack, Defense, Evasion, Speed and Crime Status. There is a Navigation tab on the left side of the page which has the game play part in it. This has some important tabs like, My Information, User Links, Clan Links, General Links and Statistics Links. My Information tab shows the useful info about the user account. User links includes some channels like, Game Chat and Game Forum. This column helps in interacting with other game players.

There are a lot of clans in the game play. The user can join any clan of his/her choice. The user should be accepted as a member to minimum one clan so that it enables the user to see some of the clan tab. General links; they are what they’re named as. Miscellaneous links have been put under them; starting from City Centre to Suggestion Booth. City centre link expands the city to mainly 4 areas; The Plaza, Education District, The Square, Outskirts. Various parts of the city can be explored and various selling/buying can be done from this channel. The beast part is – you’ll be not restricted to the city access only. You can also leave the city and roam outside.

Finally, there is tab on the bottom left; Players Online. The player’s personal information can be obtained by clicking on their name. There are a lot of options under City Centre which can be explored and several things can be done; training, bodyguard etc.

As a final thought, I must admit that I found this game quite interesting with a lot of strategic challenges, interaction with other players (just like the multiplayer), fast loading of data, less requirement of resource etc. If you are a game junkie, I’m sure that you’re gonna find this game worth your playing time. Happy playing

The modern day Indiana Jones is back. It’s the time to get into the adventure zone again with our old buddy Nathan, Nathan Drake. The sequel to one of the best Treasure Hunting games Uncharted is ready. Uncharted 2: Among thieves from Naughty Dog is filled with stunning visuals, great puzzles, well written and handled plot, high-octane gunplay like never before and the list goes on. The most awaited game carries forward the formula of its predecessor and yet is packed with some new features for its users; Multiplayer Nathan is set for the hunting of a lost artifact, traveling the globe and yeah, he has to avoid getting shot. This efforts of Nathan would save the humanity and to impress a lady (Although it’s kinda selfish, everybody loves being loved by an Angel )

The story is all about Nathan and a few fellow thieves working hard on finding Marco Polo’s lost treasure fleet. The scenario is not as simple as written and the adventure is as big as covering almost half-way around the world. The game changes its plot to different islands instead of staying in a particular place. The pace is faster and better than the first part of the game as the shooting, solving puzzles, climbing on the trees are to be done in a well designed and coordinated surrounding. The game gets more interesting due to its character development. The way everybody interacts with each other is just awesome (with more than two lines of dialogue ). The thrill in the story is really nice which keeps the user involved till the very end of the game.

Combat is really better in this series of the game. The levels are different. The user can choose different levels as the combat type. The user can opt for a higher level; a tree, or a lower one; on crouch. Stealth mode is nicely implemented. The user can eliminate the enemy sector without creating much of a scene; A real life saver The game plot is nicely put and edited so that the game keeps its attracting nature throughout. The game is nice till the half time! After that, the game gets yet better. The various activities in this version of the game is a lot better than its 1st counterpart. The only complaint I would like to put in front of Naughty Dog team is, there is not much to explore in this game. The options for the path are limited. For example, for getting into a place there is a single door. So, user has no options to get lost. He has to go that way. The scenario is like “well, I don’t know where this’ll take me, but it’s the only thing I can do”. AI is good like the first version without much improvement. The opponent AI is really cool. About the AI on user’s side; it’s phenomenal. You’ll never be left alone. There will be always somebody with you. And, unlike other AI support based games, the friendly AI never gets in the way of the USER. Cool huh? :) AI is really cool in all parts of the game. At the time of climbing, The AI either climbs fast/first leaving you to climb after it or it waits for you to climb after which it climbs. While shooting, it takes its own cover.

One more interesting part of the game is puzzles. Naughty Dog has done it again. The puzzles are less than the previous version. Instead of putting small puzzles throughout the game play, the development team came up with some multi-staged yet complicated puzzles for its users. This time Nathan doesn’t bring a Sir Francis Drake Journal, Instead he has his own (Intelligent dude huh! ). Some of the puzzles are complicated and need more than a couple of pages to be solved. But, once you solve them, you’ll feel better than Mr. Sherlock Holmes.

The visuals are really marvelous. There are jaw dropping scenes. The detailed surrounding, amount of random stuff, the lightening scenes, art direction, killer explosions and amazing animations makes the user feel like Nathan himself.

Taking the fact about the Multiplayer section of the game, it’s a bonus. This is not only a multiplayer. This is the best kind of multiplayer games available in today’s market. The options available in here are really mind blowing. There are varieties like deathmatch, elimination, capture the flag/treasure, zone control, survival mode and so on. A survival mode is the one where you join with a bunch of your friends and hit the enemies block one after the other. Use the headset, communicate with your friends and kill the enemies all around. It’ll be really exciting for any gamer with an extra affection for a sudden rush of adrenalin!

It’s not the perfect game but, it’s close to the perfect tag. Don’t you waste your time reading more reviews while you could get the game on your PS3. Moreover, you are almost going to get a game free with this (the multiplayer ). The all time best visuals, representation makes the game numero uno in its category. How did you find this game?
