If you havent added any gravatar and only sharing your blog posts link can irritate your Blog followers. Also you can loose some followers if they are following you and they are not following you back.

I do agree. ONLY numbers mean almost nothing unless they drive your targeted traffic and result in retweets!

I love Twitter, but I am not in it for the number of followers but the quality of those followers and those I follow. This may not suit everyone who is trying to appeal to a broad audience in order to sell or promote to that audience. But it certainly suits me and I do get traffic and I do get retweets from people who may not mix in other networks that I use, but who think I have something of interest to pass on to their folowers. .-= AJ´s last blogpost >> What Christmas coming already =-.

Then may be you should try giving another try. I have over 34,000 (yes, 34 thousands+) followers on Twitter and get a good amount of traffic from there.
