Unless you have been living in a Himalayan cave, you must already have heard about cloud servers and the way they are in everybody’s lips these days. A Cloud Server essentially combines the benefits of Classic Dedicated servers with Cloud Hosting. With cloud servers, you get dedicated server hardware and resources with the flexibility to scale up and down. This enables the users the ability to make adjustments to their power and memory by migrating their hosted offering to a powerful machine; on demand!

Taking the cue, SingleHop Inc., a market leading Chicago-based IT infrastructure and web hosting provider, has been offering a new cloud hosting platform, that they are calling as “Cascade“.
What is SingleHop Cascade Cloud Server?
Just as the name suggests, this revolutionary platform brings along the benefits from traditional dedicated server hosting and cloud computing advancements together into a new, better and much flexible system. Cascade combines the flexibility of cloud computing with the reliability and legendary dedicated processing resources of traditional dedicated servers into a single platform. Isn’t that simply awesome?
Technically, the Cascade Platform is a cloud computing engine, which is designed to allow for quick virtual machine deployment and is backed by technology that guarantees resources and allows for bursting when needed; fault tolerance to reduce hardware downtime, and ease of use.
How is Cascade Different From Traditional Web Servers?
Unlike traditional web hosting servers, cloud computing machines powered by Cascade make the server data much more reliable and fault tolerant by storing it on redundant central storage devices. By serving data entirely from a SAN rather than locally, the user can be freed from being contained to a specific machine.
In addition they provide LEAP, their proprietary system, which allows clients to manage their dedicated servers and cloud products from a single dashboard. SingleHop LEAP is an exclusive and free control panel that helps administrators to control all aspects of their dedicated hosting environment. It is considered to be the world’s first AJAX-powered webtop for managing a dedicated server.

After testing their cloud servers [Cascade powered Xeon E3110] for a couple of weeks, here is our first impression — Cascade enables dedicated servers with unprecedented self-healing power of cloud computing where users have their own server infrastructure, but no longer experience downtime with hardware failures.
Cascade is being offered as an upgrade to almost all of SingleHop’s dedicated and managed hosting solutions for a monthly fee of $40 per server. For more information visit SingleHop’s Cascade page.

It’s not written in the post : what are the financial differences between cascade cloud server dans standard server ?

Thanks for asking. But in fact, it is written in the post:
‘Cascade is being offered as an upgrade to almost all of SingleHop’s dedicated and managed hosting solutions for a monthly fee of $40 per server‘! Now compare it with a normal (standard) web hosting server (shared or dedicated) and you’d get the picture.
it’s quite costly as compared to shared servers.. but i think it is almost equal to all cloud hosting servers..
