No way…. I don’t believe in Norman anymore! My PC was badly infected despite using Norman. After removing Norman and installed Avira Free, Avira detected viruses that Norman could not.
I don’t disbelieve you. But I think that to expect an antivirus to detect ALL viruses is like expecting a software tester to catch ALL bugs in a software before it gets released. Its simply NOT possible; not even the God himself was an Antivirus!
Norman ? Reactive detection is only about 63% or there about. It pales in comparison to free AVG or Avira.
No antivirus is perfect and none can catch ALL of the threats. This is one reason why I always prefer a combination of a good firewall, Windows defender and a good antivirus.
Err.. at least, I am not looking for a perfect AV that catches all. If AVG/Avira Free AV could detect virus at 90% or there about, I believe I could manage the rest; 10% or less with firewall, anti-malware, and etc.
But, hey, why buy “sub-standard” Norman that could only managed to detect about 63% ?
