How to Access the old Google Search [Without any Hacks or Scripts]

Pin It submit to reddit

As you probably already know, Google Search has undergone somewhat of a face lift over the last week and the whole (well, almost) internet has been buzzing about this news.

To say there has been an uproar over the latest update would be a lie, but there are plenty of people (as with any change) that would like to see the old version of Google Search back. If you are one of those people who miss their old little Google Search and would do anything to get it back, thankfully the solution is pretty easy. To do so is thankfully straight forward, simply make this your default search page:

How long this will remain available is unknown but it will at least give you a little more time to accept that change is coming.

Its not the latest Google “Browser”! Google’s latest (and only official one for that matter) browser is Chrome! ;)

We are talking about the new Google “Search” UI here :P

  2. At last my old search engine is back. Thanks! I don’t like the added extra sidebar. Tough it offers more functionality, I don’t like it as it takes more space than the last search results interface.

  3. We’re subject to a human weakness called ‘attachment’. This is the reason why we sometimes find it difficult to leave an old thing behind and embrace a new one. I too kind of missed the old format, but knowing that anything new from google is always about getting better, about quicker processes, about better interface, etc, I suppose I’d be better off adopting the new one now.
