The newly released and much-hyped Apple iPhone 4 appears to have a significant design flaw that causes the device to loose network signal when held your hand. Reports are pouring across the internet that highlight this problem, and TechRadar has discovered that their own handset is badly affected by the same problem, too.
Holding the iPhone 4 seems to quickly bring the handset signal strength down from five bars of 3G coverage to limited edge or even no data network coverage at all. You will notice that as the video draws to a close, the phone actually loses all network coverage.
iPhone 4 Signal Failure
This flaw was first identified in the MacRumors’ forum, but when tested with a phone call, it doesn’t really seem to affect the call quality. But even if this is just a visual flaw, it’s definitely a problem that Apple should look into. And this is something that might affect your decision if you were planning to buy these Phones for you.

Apart from this flaw, I would say that the fragility of the iPhone 4 is a much bigger deal than this. The signal strength thing is just an annoyance; the fragility issue means that you’re out of your phone if you drop it onto a hard surface on either side. Apple has to look at both issues and figure out ways to deal with them. Thankfully for Apple, the signal issue happens with the 3G and 3GS too and in spite of the visual drop in signal strength, people can still make calls. To me, it seems to be a glitch in the software rather than a hardware issue. What do you think. Is this news going to affect your plans to buy an Apple iPhone 4? If you’re looking for the new iPhone 4 why not compare the best packages with Phones4U today?

I am totally disappointed and will not buy this flawed product. Signal is not the only issue, I heard about yellow bands on screen and its panel is not scratch-proof. Too bad.
