We had a lot of PC-based games, and play station releases recently. Games today are totally changed as compared to their older counterparts. For most gamers, the definition of a flashy gaming console includes high end processors, graphics cards, Giga-bytes worth of RAM, wide-screen HD display monitors etc. And thanks to the high-end hardware support, games today have become livelier with original realistic looks, intelligent AI, awesome storyline and backgrounds.
However, despite the glorious presence of their PC and play station based cousins, flash-based browser games are still out there and continuing to attract a huge mass of gamers. An immediate advantage of such flash based games is their almost zero system resource requirement, lack of need of any installation and their easy and instant accessibility.
Good thing for these games is that they are all available on cross-platforms and can work perfectly on Windows, Mac OS, Linux or even on an iPad – as long browsers on these systems supports above applications. Here we present some of the best online games available now.
1. Ambulance Frenzy
The player has to be the ambulance driver in this game. But, you don’t have a lot of ambulances to drive. Therefore, the player has to use a hummer with an open cabin as ambulance and to bring in the patients to the hospital. And yeah! Don’t indulge yourself in any accidents.
Controls:
Accelerate – UP Arrow Key
Brake – Down Arrow Key
Balance – Right/Left Arrow Key
2. Dino Run
This is a game created by PixelJAM and XGen Studios. The game play is simple with pixel art and 8 bit sound, just like the 80s’ games. In the game play, a dinosaur has to be saved from a pyroclastic ‘wall of doom’. The game provides Milestones, different characters, various game modes, funny collectable items and even cheat codes, which makes the game more interesting.

3. Sonny
This is a Zombie game. Oh yeah! Zombies… I love them. The game is extremely polished, featuring voice acting, effects, tons of items and abilities and a decent story line. Sonny is executed so smoothly and with such a balance that it makes Flash seem as good as any other platform for a game design of this type.
4. Sim Taxi
The name itself is quite suggestive about the game play. You are a Taxi Driver who has to pick as many passengers as you can and drop them at their destination. You would be provided with radio and a map on top for locating the passengers. At the same time, make sure you don’t tear apart the taxi by accidents.
Controls:
Drive around – Arrow Keys
Music On/Off – M/N Keys
Radio – R Key
Switch Radio Stations – 1,2,3 Keys
5. 13 Days in Hell
The game is really promising for part time players. But if you are a hard core players like me you may find the game play quite boring as the scenario repeats itself in the later part of the story. In this game, first the user is asked to sign a 13 day survival task with 5 kinds of weapons (guns to be precise). The environment looks cool with introduction of 3D buttons in the menu, point and shoot feature and so on. There are difficulty levels where the enemy numbers vary according to the difficulty level chosen. So, if you are a part time gamer, this is a must try.
Play these browser games and let us hear how you felt about them.

Well, our sincere apologies if this post hampered your productivity in any way; it wasn’t supposed to!
But still, we believe in the old adage – “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”!
I am totally a dull boy. I was at a BBQ earlier surrounded by 10 people and I swear I didn’t say a single word, I was so far gone in my head thinking about blogging and WordPress and SEO and and and, haha.
Totally unlike me, but amazing how fun something becomes when you see AdSense start to work. And addicting.
Actually, this post gave me an idea…
Think I WILL dig a little more into the Flash games…

Your new flash game site looks great, Thomas
Thanks. It only took a few hours to make something halfway presentable, and I just wanted my own little “online arcade” after I played some of the games here. And then went on a bit of a frenzy once I discovered some of the old school stuff from my days as a kid, haha…
Great to see that you’re reliving your old days via the cool little site. All the best
Thank you so much for the share TechChunks, I will be adding Sim Taxi to my flash game site very soon!
